I am nothing but a puppet of clay,
Often, As I look through my Old Window, I wonder,
from where does this wind blow
there must be someone who made these trees
and then made a move to and fro...
Often as I look into the Burning Sun
I start to think of HIM,
the Greatest One
HE is the Creator and Protector of all
I am the Creator and Protector of none!!
I am nothing but a Puppet of Clay!!!
HE gave me eyes to see HIS Grace
HE gave me a tongue to Praise
Today, As I think of my bad deeds...puppet
All selfish talk and my worldly greeds...
My eyes get filled with tears and Shame
with pain and Sorrow, my heart bleeds...
For how long in this world will I Stay??
Surely, I'll have to leave one day
with time, I've realized
I m nothing but a Puppet of Clay!!!
Allah has blessed us with his countless blessings. He is the One who has been most awarding and rewarding to all of us.
That's why ALLAH Almighty says: “And if you were to count God’s favors, you would not be able to number them; most surely God is Forgiving, Merciful.” (Qur’an, 16:18).
In our lives, we get a lot of achievements and success. And we all know that without the mercy of Allah, we cannot get this success. We all are slaves of Allah. We are nothing but a puppet of clay. That is why we should be very thankful to Him for all those things He has rewarded without us asking for it. Allah has made it clear that we will never be able to count all of His blessings upon us since they are innumerable.
The Puppet of Clay: A Humble Realization
In moments of solitude, as I gaze out through my old window, I am often captivated by the mysteries of the world around me. The swaying trees in the breeze, the burning sun in the sky—all seem to echo the greatness of their Creator. The gentle wind, the bright light, and the endless rhythms of nature are signs of a Master who orchestrates everything perfectly.
Yet, in this grand creation, I realize my insignificance. I am nothing but a puppet of clay, molded by Allah's hands. My existence is entirely dependent on Him, the Creator and Protector of all, while I am neither a creator nor a protector of anything.
Acknowledging the Blessings of the Creator
Allah has blessed us with countless favors, many of which we fail to appreciate. From the eyes that allow us to witness His grace to the tongue gifted for praising Him, every part of our being is a testament to His infinite mercy. As Allah Almighty says in the Qur'an:
“And if you were to count God’s favors, you would not be able to number them; most surely God is Forgiving, Merciful.” (Qur’an, 16:18).
Despite His boundless generosity, we often lose sight of our purpose. The distractions of worldly life—our selfish desires and greed—keep us preoccupied. But when we pause to reflect, we realize that without Allah’s mercy, we are powerless. We are nothing more than puppets of clay, dependent on His will for every breath we take.
The Weight of Worldly Deeds
As I think of my bad deeds—selfishness, materialism, and ungratefulness—my heart aches with sorrow. Tears fill my eyes as I reflect on how far I have strayed. The pain and shame of my actions remind me of my temporary existence in this world.
Time is fleeting, and one day, every soul will depart. This realization brings clarity: life is a test, and we are but puppets of clay, crafted to serve a greater purpose. Our ultimate goal is to earn Allah’s mercy and forgiveness through sincere repentance and submission.
Gratitude: The Key to a Fulfilled Life
In every success and achievement, we must recognize the hand of Allah. Without His mercy, we could accomplish nothing. He provides not only what we ask for but also blessings we fail to recognize.
Being grateful is more than uttering words of thanks—it is a mindset, a way of living. It is about acknowledging that everything we have is a gift from the Creator. As puppets of clay, we owe our existence and every joy to Allah, who has been most awarding and rewarding.
Conclusion: Living with Purpose
The reflection on being a puppet of clay reminds us of our dependence on Allah. It is a humbling truth that shifts our focus from worldly distractions to eternal gratitude and devotion. We must remember our purpose, seek forgiveness for our shortcomings, and strive to fulfill the role Allah has designed for us. Only then can we find true peace and alignment with the divine will.
Indeed, as we live and grow, let us never forget: we are nothing but puppets of clay, molded and guided by the Creator, who deserves all praise and gratitude.
