Hifz — Quran Memorization
Understanding the course

What is Hifz (Quran memorization)?

Hifz is the memorisation of the Holy Quran. A person who memorises the entire Quran is honoured with the title Hafiz — a keeper of the Book of Allah. It is one of the most rewarding journeys a Muslim can undertake.

At AlQuranClasses™, our Hifz course guides students through structured memorisation with a dedicated teacher, regular revision, and a realistic, achievable plan. Students memorise with correct Tajweed and Tarteel, so what they preserve is beautiful as well as accurate.

Common questions

Hifz FAQs

How long does it take to memorise the Quran? +
It depends on the student's age, memory, and time committed daily. With consistent effort, children in dedicated programs may take a few years; adults memorising part-time set a pace that suits their life. Your teacher creates a realistic, personalised plan.
Do I need to know Tajweed before starting Hifz? +
It helps, but it is not required — we memorise with Tajweed applied from the start. If needed, we strengthen your recitation alongside memorisation so what you memorise is correct.
How does revision (Muraja'ah) work? +
Revision is the heart of Hifz. Alongside new memorisation, your teacher schedules regular review of recent and older portions so your memorisation stays strong and is never lost.
Can adults memorise the Quran too? +
Yes. Many of our adult students memorise part-time with flexible plans. It is never too late to begin your journey with the Quran.
Do you offer a certificate? +
Yes. AlQuranClasses™ recognises your milestones and full completion with a certificate.
Are male and female teachers available? +
Yes. We have qualified male and female Hifz teachers so you can choose the right fit.
